Stopped in with my wife and our friends for Friday Night Fish. It was good, but nothing spectacular. The service was also just ok, and the decor/restaurant was what you would expect from a Wisconsin supper club. When you walk in, there is a slight musty odor. Not sure if it was something in the decor around the door or just the bathrooms that happened to be nearby. But it wasn't anything offensive or anything that lingered into the bar area or the dining room. We were immediately seated and were told that our waitress would be right with us. About 5 minutes later she stopped by. They were busy, so it wasn't a big deal. We all ordered the fried haddock, two of us had fries and two of us had baked potatoes. We also ordered some breaded mushrooms. The breaded mushrooms were your standard bar fare, nothing special, but nothing wrong with them either. When our fish arrived, it was just one huge piece of fish! The breading was a nice golden brown and wasn't soggy at all. It also came with tartar sauce and a cup of coleslaw. The fish was bland, even after a squirt of lemon juice. It could have used either a more strongly seasoned batter or the fish could use some seasoning pre-batter. The other change that could be made would be offering a number of pieces of fish for those that want to eat more or less. After dinner we were offered after dinner drinks which we decided to do. My wife and one of my friends ordered Pink Squirrels and the other friend ordered a grasshopper, with me ordering a Blind Russian. The drinks were $5.00 each and when they came they brought my wife a Grasshopper instead of a Pink Squirrel. Which was fine, because she ended up liking it better. They also took the drink off our tab since it wasn't what she ordered. All in all a decent place for a decent price, but nothing super spectacular. I will have to say that it is much improved since it was re-purchased by the previous owners in 2011.

We were seated more than 30 minutes past our reservation. After that, our meal felt rushed. Our food came very quickly, and while our steak was cooked well, all the trimmings were underdone. French fries, potato wedges, and fried onions were all undercooked. I won't be rushing back.

We ate at Cantafio's for the first time this weekend and I was disappointed. When we entered the restaurant, we had to stand right outside the men's restroom while waiting for a table. There was a distinct bad odor which was not very appetizing! We both ordered steak that was cooked perfectly, but had no flavor and apparently no seasoning. My steak was supposed to have demi-glace on it, but the sauce on it appeared to me to be made of water, cornstarch, and carmel coloring. No flavor! The salad and baked potato were good. The service was very good. This place needs some serious updating of it's interior and a chef who seasons the steak. Probably won't go back.

I love the atmosphere! I don't agree with some comments that suggest it needs updating. I'm glad that this iconic Beaver Dam supper club is back up and running. They have a wonderful banquet room where we have had a few gatherings, most notably our wedding rehearsal dinner. The owners were absolutely wonderful that evening and even gave us a certificate as a gift! Always friendly service as well! We have been back numerous times, never disappointing! Thanks Cantafio's!

I think this place is under new management but not sure. It isn't perfect but has some things going for it that deserve recognition. The prices for the dishes in our party were decent and actually reasonable for the size of steak I got. Mine was perfectly cooked to medium rare but very little flavor. The steak really needs some seasoning and it would have been excellent. The appetizer was well done and of ample portion. The staff was very pleasant and you could tell that they really cared about getting our food right. Our server did a very good job. I'm glad they have artwork on the walls but the artwork they chose needs some help. One was a basket of puppies. another was a farmhouse on a starry night. The farmhouse was good the puppies were weird. My point is that it was really a hodgepodge. We haven't found much good for dining throughout Dodge county. We have only found two places that get a passing grade and that is now Benvenutos and Buckhorn. If they spiffed up the decor and improved the flavoring I would come back again and again.

Not very good. Food poor and expensive not much flavor. Drinks expensive and weak. Environment extremely hot ice was melting in our drinks.
